Rally of Malaysia 2008: Cody Crocker takes the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship
Subaru rally driver, Cody Crocker, has won his third consecutive Asia-Pacific Rally Championship with a dominant performance in the Rally of Malaysia. In hot and humid temperatures that reached 39 degrees Celsius, Crocker and co-driver, Ben Atkinson, have clinched the championship with one round to spare in their MotorImage Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

IRC China Rally 2009 has been postponed for a month and will now be in a new location

The IRC round to be held in China has been put back until December and will run on the same date as Wales Rally GB on the 5-7th. The event was scheduled to take place at the beginning of November.

Gudang Garam International Rally Indonesia 2008 Results: Gaurav Gill wins as Katsu Taguchi and Cody Crocker continue their battle for the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship crown

Indian driver Gaurav Gill won the Rally Indonesia after a great battle with Cody Crocker ended two stages from the finish. Gill had led after the first day by 35s but Crocker responded on day 2 and was leading when his tyre deflated with two stages left of the rally. Crocker had been slowed on day 1 with a faulty camshaft sensor.

Proton Super 2000 expected to tackle the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship next year with Alister McRae
The Proton Satria Neo S2000 is expected to contest the APRC next year with McRae at the wheel. The car, which was homologated on the 1st August by MEM, will be tested by Alister later this month according to Autosport UK.

Toshi Arai wins the Rally Hokkaido 2008 in Japan which is a round of the APRC
Toshi Arai dominated the 2008 Rally Hokkaido with a start to finish victory. Conditions on the first day were very wet and the opening two stages were cancelled as a result. The rally was round 3 in the APRC.
