Nasser Al-Attiyah was second fastest on the Day 3 stage, from Puerto Madryn to Jacobacci, of Dakar 2009 to move up to second overall behind leader Carlos Sainz.

Dakar 2009 Stage 2 Results: Carlos Sainz takes the lead in the Volkswagen Race Touareg

Carlos Sainz won today’s second stage, between Santa Rosa and Puerto Madryn in Argentina, to take the lead of the 2009 Dakar driving the VW Touareg.
Sianz’ team-mate Giniel De Villiers moved up to second place in the overall standings to cap off a good day for VW. Stephane Peterhansel climbed to 3rd after a better performance today in the Mitsubishi Pajero.

Jänner-Rallye 2009 results and videos: Raimund Baumschlager scores dramatic win

Raimund Baumschlager (Evo 9) won the Austrian Janner Rally in dramatic fashion after Andreas Waldherr retired his VW Polo S2000 on the penultimate stage after dominating the two day event.

Maiden City Motor Club (M.C.M.C) Turkey Run 2008 Results: Sean Devine is the winner

Sean Devine (pictured above) driving his Subaru S11 WRC won the M.C.M.C Turkey Run Multi-Use Rally held in Aghadowey, Northern Ireland on Monday 29th December 2008.

Lombard RAC Rally 1980: Henri Toivonen becomes the youngest WRC event winner in the Talbot Sunbeam-Lotus

Henri Toivonen became, at 24, the youngest winner of a world rally championship event (that is if we regard 1973 as being year zero, otherwise Simo Lampinen would still hold the record even today by winning the 1963 1000 Lakes aged just 20) on the 1980 Lombard RAC Rally driving the Talbot Sunbeam-Lotus.
