The McRae Stages 2008 will be remembered as one of the most fantastic rallying occassions ever witnessed.

BBC Scotland followed the Saab Scottish Rally Championship in 2008 and below is their coverage of the Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally which attracted the biggest names in the sport. Vatanen, Mikkola, Jim McRae, Buffum, Brookes, Waldegard, Wilson, Pastrana etc etc,  were all present to honour the memory of their friend and icon.

The BBC coverage captures all the excitement of the rally including, of course, the SRC runners such as David Bogie and Andy Horne. It also features in-car footage of Jimmy McRae's frightening crash down a ravine in the Prepfab Porsche.
