Dani Sordo will see out his contract at Citroen next year and Marcus Gronholm will not replace him according to Citroen boss Olivier Quesnel in Autosport.
Quesnel told Autosport:
Marcus is welcolm here, but I'm afraid he would have to bring budget and drive in our M2 team! We have Dani on contract for 2009."
It would appears that Marcus' options for next year would be in a M2 team as Malcolm Wilson has resigned Hirvonen, Latvala and Qassimi in the BP squad for next year. The only option for a senior drive next year would appear to be with Subaru.
Some sources have been suggesting that Petter Solberg could leave the team at the end of the season, though officially Subaru say they want him to stay. Gronholm, meanwhile, has again been quoted recently as saying he may return to the WRC next year.
