System Signs Enniskillen Clubman Stages Rally 2008 Results: Alistair Fisher wins in the Ford Fiesta ST

There were 9 stages, totalling approx 35 miles, using two locations that made up the Derrygonnelly based Enniskillen Clubman Stages Rally, with six stages at Lough Nevar and three at Bothwell. Stewart Clarke was fastest on the first stage in his Escort Mk2 ahead of Damien Toner in another Escort with Alistair Cochrane (Mk2) third and Fisher fourth in the Fiesta.

Conditions were atrocious throughout the day and the slippy conditions were attributed to a number of competitors going off. Gillian Neely (daughter of Ron) crashed her 205 heavily on SS1 resulting in the stage being delayed for a time but thankfully the crew received no injuries. 

By the third stage Toner went into the lead but crashed out of the event on SS5 leaving Fisher in front of Clark and Harold Brown in an Astra. Fisher was 13s ahead of Brown going into the final stage while Clark rolled his Escort out of the rally within sight of the finish. Fisher took fastest time on the final stage to win the rally by an impressive 26s from Brown. This was Fisher's first outright win on a rally.
