Excel Rallying Multimake Championship: New Irish rally championship for 2009 with a top prize on offer

A brand new Irish Rally Championship has been given the green light for the 2009 season. The Excel Rallying Multimake Championship offers some of the best prizes seen in European rallying, and will reward the quickest drivers in Irish rallying.

With a first prize of a fully supported drive in the 2010 Irish National Championship with a Super 1600 car, as well as a mouthwatering array of other top prizes, competitors will be revving up at the prospect of the 2009 season.

There are 21 counting rounds for the series, of which competitors must choose 10 to contest. Their best 8 scores out of those 10 events will count towards the final standings, and those competitors that win their class will go on to contest a "Race of Champions" type event - where everyone will be in equal machinery.
