Exotic Green Rally 2008 Netherlands, Wevers leads after Day One and is fastest on 16 of the 17 stages today
The Exotic Green Rally in Holland started today and was being led rather convincingly by Erik Wevers in his Focus 06 WRC. Wevers was quickest on every stage bar one. It was Ypres star Jasper van den Heuvel who scored the only other fastest time of the day in his Group N Evo and was in second ahead of Dirk Boer in a Subaru WRC. GB driver Graham Coffey was lying in an excellent sixth in his S9 Subaru WRC. The rally finishes tomorrow with six more stages
Non-starters included Mark van Eldik who would have given Wevers some opposition but decided to concentrate on next weeks Eifel Rallye instead. Gareth Jones also was a n/s and it isn't known if he will make his comeback on the Eifel as is on the entry in his JCB 05 Focus WRC.
