FIA issue press release following WMSC meeting to clarify the Commercial Rights Holder position in the WRC

The FIA have released the following statement to clarify the situation with regards the commercial rights of the WRC.
PRESS RELEASE
"Following reports in the motor sport press, the FIA wishes to clarify the situation regarding the Commercial Rights Holder and Promoter of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC)."
"International Sportsworld Communicators (ISC) is the Commercial Rights Holder for the WRC until 31 December 2010."
"The FIA tender process for the Promoter of the WRC will open on 16 October and close on 15 November 2008."
"The winning tender will be announced at the start of Rally Ireland, the first round of the 2009 season."
"The FIA contract with a new WRC Promoter will start from 1 January 2011."
