Gigi Galli is expected to make his competitive return on December's Bettega Memorial Rallysprint, according to Autosport magazine.
Galli broke his leg on August's Rally Germany in a violent crash where he slammed into a tree. It was feared he may not drive again but he responded well to treatment and is determined to return to the WRC on a full-time basis in 2009.
He will drive a Ford Focus RS WRC on the Bettega rallysprint. Galli will be joined by Chris Atkinson and Dani Sordo in what's likely to be one of the best entries for the December 13-14 event.
