dunlopLogo Galway Summer Stages Rally 2008 Results: Patrick Elliott wins to secure his first Irish Dunlop National Championship

Patrick Elliott scored a convincing win on the Galway Summer Rally to gain the Dunlop National title. Elliott driving his Subaru WRC was never headed in the rally and could ease back after his main championship rival Niall Maguire crashed his Subaru WRC on SS5 by sliding off the road.

Elliot was then firmly in control of the rally as was nearly a minute up on Mel Evans also in a Subaru WRC. In the end Elliott won by 39s and deserved the 2008 National championship. Third was Group N winner Alan Ring while Maurice Moffett was an incredible 4th in his Starlet and top 2WD finisher.
