Gigi Galli is recovering well and should be out of hospital on Wednesday

Gigi was visited in hospital by his Ford teammates and also by Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo, all dressed up in their fireproof underwear to cheer Gigi up.
Galli is expected to leave hospital on Wednesday following a successful operation on his broken left femur sustained in a frightening, flat out in 6th gear, crash during Rallye Deutschland. He is expected to be out of action for some time although a replacement has yet to be decided upon.
Those expected to be In the frame for NZ include, Francois Duval, Andreas Mikkelsen and Barry Clark. Duval, though, states he will not do NZ and will only be doing the tarmac rounds as agreed. Mikkelsen maybe considered as favourite as Wilson wants to keep him and Ramsport with Ford, and Wilson also wanted him to do NZ last year. A very outside bet for consideration would be Kris Meeke and Guy Wilks, who both clearly impressed on their recent WRC forays putting them both back on the WRC radar.
Galli speaks of his shock when his teammates arrive in their underwear:
It was great to see all my team-mates in the hospital and what a surprise to see them all walk into the room in their underwear!
We have a great team spirit between all of the Ford crews and it really is just like a big family.
The doctors tell me the operation went very well so hopefully I will recover soon and get back to action for all of my fans."
