Looks like Jan Kopecy will be doing Rally Russia 2008 after all as has been testing for the event
Jan Kopecky has been testing recently for Rally Russia which indicates he will be taking part. An onboard video has appeared on a Czech website mediasport.cz showing Kopecky testing a 207 S2000 for Russia. It was thought he would miss the event as a result of the damage sustained during the suspicious and frightening Ypres accident where he hit a concrete pillar which was lying on the racing line.
Team Kopecky weren't hopeful of having the car repaired in time for Rally Russia and the budget was thought to have all been used up leaving Kopecky wondering if he would compete again this season. It would now appear, however, that the team intend to be in Russia if they are testing for it. Kopecky is likely to be one of the favourites if he does start as tends to go very well on loose surface events and the 207 seems to be the car to have in the IRC at the minute.
Kopecky could be in Russia
