According to an article on Norwegian news site vg.no Petter Solberg has stated that he will stay with Subaru for the 2009 World Rally Championship season.
This news would appear to end speculation about him leaving the team and being replaced by Andreas Mikkelsen. Mikkelsen, however, has been offered a third seat at Subaru as he has the necessary budget and was testing the car this week in the UK.
It would also appear that Petter is happy with recent developments with the S14 and the new relationship Prodrive have entered with damper firm Ohlins, though he feels there is much work to be done for the next two gravel rounds in Japan and GB. The S14 is due to feature a variety of new improvements, promised by Prodrive, for the 2009 season.
Petter was said to have been impressed by the car at a recent test session, where they were using new damper technology from Ohlins, and states he wants a more active role in testing in the future.
