Rally New Zealand may move back to Auckland for the 2010 WRC

Rally New Zealand event chairman Chris Carr is deliberating over moving the rally back to Auckland, instead of Hamilton where it has been since 2005, for when the rally returns to the WRC in 2010, according to Motorsport News.
The rally will be a NZ championship round in 2009 as it isn't in the WRC calendar due to the rotation system.
Carr explained to MN his reasoning:
We'll make a decision next year. It's a long trip out to the stages from Auckland and it would be tough for central servicing. But 1.2 million people live there compared to the 300,000 around Hamilton so we might go against standard format."
