Toni Gademeister expected to drive a Fiat Grande Punto S2000 on 2009 (IRC) Rallye Monte Carlo

Toni Gardemeister will most likely contest this year’s Rallye Monte Carlo in a Grande Punto S2000,  the car is likely to be run by Italian preparation firm Astra Racing, according to autosport.cz.

Gardemeister was recently left in the lurch following Suzuki’s withdrawal from the WRC on 15.12.08 and this news comes as a very welcome boost. It is not yet clear if this will be a one off… Continue reading

F1 star Kimi Raikkonen says again that he would like to try rallying

Kimi Raikkonen, who recently visited the IRC Rallye du Valais, has stated again that he would like to try rallying.

The Ferrari Formula One star, who lives near where the Rallye du Valais took place in Switzerland, made the comments when he was in the service park visiting Anton Alen.

Rali Centro de Portugal 2008 Results: Bruno Magalhaes wins to secure another Portuguese championship

Bruno Magalhaes won the Rali Centro de Portugal to claim the 2008 Portuguese rally championship in his 207 S2000 to win the title for the second year in a row. Vitor Pascoal finished second on the rally in another 207 with Pedro Meireles third in a Group N Subaru.

Belgium Ypres Westhoek Rally 2008 Shakedown, Loix fastest from IRC leader Rossetti

Freddy Loix (207) claimed fastest time in shakedown to take a slight psychological advantage into tomorrow’s rally. IRC leader Luca Rossetti (207) was second with Jan Kopecky in the Punto third.
