Kimi Raikkonen sits in Anton Alen’s Fiat Abarth Grande Punto at Rally du Valais

Kimi Raikkonen turned up at the servicepark of the IRC Rallye International du Valais in Switzerland, with his elder rallying brother Rami, to visit Anton Alen.

Kimi couldn’t help himself but he had to have a sit in Alen’s Fiat Abarth Grande Punto S2000. He looked really happy behind the wheel of a rally car and has stated previously that he will go rallying when he stops F1.

IRC Rallye International du Valais 2008 Entry List and Preview

Rallye du Valais 2008 this weekend is the penultimate round of the IRC series this season and the title is still to be decided between Nicolas Vouilloz and Giandomenico Basso. Stuart Jones to enter IRC Rally du Valais 08 and renews his links with Hankook who will sponsor the MG S2000 Sport

Tyre giant Hankook will renew its links with leading British rally driver Stuart Jones as he contests the penultimate round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in Switzerland later this month.

Mark Higgins in the BGM MG S2000 will contest the ADAC 3-Stadte-Rallye instead of Rally du Valais

Mark Higgins will now contest a round of the German Rallye Masters series in October instead of the Rally du Valais as originally planned in the Bill Gwynne Motorsport MG S2000.

Team boss Ian Gwynne was quoted in Motorsport News:

We’ve got a sponsor on board and it’s another chance to get into Europe and show what the car can do.”

Mark Higgins was forced to cancel plans to enter Rallye Principe de Asturias in the MG S2000 due to budget constraints

Mark Higgins was forced to cancel an appearance on the Principe due to budget restictions but he hopes to possibly contest the IRC Rallye du Valais in his BGM MG S2000. He was scheduled to use the same Bill Gwynne Motorsport MG that he used in Ypres on the Rally Principe, wrote Motorsport News.

Garcia Ojeda will contest three more rallies at the wheel of an Italian run Peugeot 207 S2000

Spaniard Enrique Garcia Ojeda will compete on three upcoming events driving a Power Car team 207 S2000. Ojeda will contest the Sata Rallye Acores which has already started, then on to two IRC rounds Barum Rally and the Rally du Valais.
