Sergio Vallejo took victory in his Porsche 911 GT3 on Rally Shalymar, the final round of the Spanish tarmac championship. It wasn’t enough though to prevent Garcia Ojeda (pictured) taking the Spanish title.

Rallye Principe de Asturias IRC 2008 Final Results and videos: Giandomencio Basso wins to restore some pride for the Abarth team

Once more, the action went down to the very final stage on the latest round of the IRC, the Principe de Asturias Rally in Spain. Although the all-asphalt event was brand new to the series this year as round seven, it became one of the closest fought contests in the IRC’s history. Subaru WRT to run a third works car for possibly Markko Martin or Xavier Pons on the remaining asphalt WRC rounds
Autosport magazine state that Subaru will run three works Subaru Impreza S14 WRC’s in Corsica and Catalunya. Autosport state their sources within the team have confirmed the three car team.
