Andreas Mikkelsen has signed a contract with M-Sport for the 2009 WRC

Andreas Mikkelsen will drive an M-Sport prepared Ford Focus WRC in the 2009 World Rally Championship, according to sources at M-Sport.

It is unclear which M-Sport team Mikkelsen will drive for but it is thought he has secured a good deal with Malcolm Wilson.

Andreas Mikkelsen has to raise a third of the budget himself for a seat next year otherwise he might be doing National Service in 2009

Andreas Mikkelsen could be denied a factory seat with the Subaru World Rally Team after a dispute with his father over how much funding he has to find, according to Autosport magazine.

Mikkelsen, who has remained tight-lipped on his test of the Impreza WRC 08, will not contest Rally GB and, according to his father Steiner, may not compete at all next year.

Valentino Rossi confirmed to use a Ford Focus RS WRC on Wales Rally GB 2008

Valentino Rossi has confirmed that he will use a Ford Focus WRC on this year’s Rally GB.

It is believed he will use the same 07 Focus in Wales that he will contest Rally Monza in, a few weeks before the WRC event. Rossi will use an M-Sport car which will carry his own personal sponsors.

Andreas Mikkelsen thought to be closing in on Subaru deal for the 2009 WRC

Andreas Mikkelsen has confirmed to Autosport magazine that he would like to drive for the Subaru World Rally Team following a successful meeting at Prodrive a few weeks ago.

Mikkelsen will test a Subaru S14 WRC Impreza sometime this month in the UK.

Bautas Hedemarken Rally 2008 Results: Ostberg wins to take the NRC title as Mikkelsen miscalculates

Mads Ostberg was crowned Norwegian Rally Champion for the second consecutive time on Saturday. He won the 7th and last round of the championship, Rally Hedemarken.

Rally Hedemarken took place in the same area as the WRC event, Rally Norway in 2007. The start, finish and service area was outside the Vikingskipet in the city of Hamar, and some of the six gravel
