Citroen Sport boss Olivier Quesnel has confirmed the expected news that Sebastien Ogier will drive a C4 WRC on the first six World Rally Championship events in 2009.

Sebastien Ogier has been confirmed for Wales Rally GB in a PH-Sport Citroen C4 WRC

Rallye-magazin.de has confirmed that the 2008 JWRC champion Sebastian Ogier will take part on Wales Rally GB in a C4 run by PH-Sport.
The drive has come about with assistance from the organisers of the Tour de Corse, the FFSA and Citroen Sport.
Ogier commented:
A great opportunity and more like an early Christmas gift for me.The Wales Rally GB is one of the most demanding races

Sebastien Ogier happy with experience gained on the Ulster Rally 2008

Seb Ogier, who was subbing for the injured Simon Jean-Joseph, got some valuable experience and a good result on the Ulster Rally 2008. Driving a PH Sport Citroen C2R2 max Ogier finished a creditable 13th o/a and was top 2wd competitor as well as winning his class by a signifigant margin.

Sebastien Ogier to contest Ulster Rally 08 driving a Citroen C2R2 Max in place of Simon Jean-Joseph

In an article in the Belfast Telegraph it has emerged that JWRC hotshot Seb Ogier will compete in the Ulster Rally next weekend in place of Simon Jean-Joseph. Joseph is unable to compete due to an injury, so Ogier has been drafted into the PH Sport machine which is competing on various European rallies this year as a promotional vehicle for Citroen.

Olivier Quesnel would like another Citroen Manufacturer Team in the 2009 WRC
Citroen Sport boss Olivier Quesnel has indicated that he would like to run a second team next year. Speaking to wrc.com Quesnel stated he would like to have an “M2″ team with a young driver in it.

Sebastien Ogier scores WRC points on debut
Seb Ogier has scored a WRC point, which may be some kind of record for a debut appearance, as local Trivino disqualified from Rally Mexico. This is the second time he has been excluded on his home rally. Two years ago was excluded for homologation irregularities with his 206’s bumpers, this time for not wearing the correct specification gloves.
