Dani Sordo is expected to lead the developement of the Citroen Sport S2000+ project, which will probably be based on the C3 model

Dani Sordo will become the main development driver of Citroen’s S2000+ car, according to autosport.cz.
Citroen Sport had planned to develop the car in early 2009 but due to the uncertainty with the regulations by the FIA this slowed the project. But now with the new technical regulations coming into effect in 2010 the development can begin again.

Citroen will continue in the 2009 WRC despite recent crisis within the sport

Citroen boss Olivier Quesnel has confirmed that Citroen Sport will contest the 2009 WRC despite the recent crisis within the sport of Subaru and Suzuki withdrawing.
Quesnel commented:
Citroen remains entered in the 2009 FIA World Rally Championship as planned with its two crews, Sebastien Loeb/Daniel Elena and Dani Sordo/Marc Marti.

Citroen Sport are testing in Sweden this week as PH Sport forced to cancel Rally Ireland test in France last week

Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo have been testing for Citroen Sport in northern Sweden this week ahead of Rally Norway in February, according to norsk-rally.com.

Thomas Radstrom is also on hand to test the C4 with Loeb and Sordo. Citroen Sport decided to test in northern Sweden (close to Lapland), near Borgafjällu in the province of Västerbotten

Kris Meeke and Dani Sordo star on first day of the Bettega Memorial Rallysprint

Kris Meeke and Dani Sordo were the stars of yesterday’s qualifying heats at the Bologna Motor Show Bettega Memorial Rallysprint.
Meeke, driving the Errepi Racing Citroen Xsara WRC, beat two former world rally champions Marcus Gronholm and Petter Solberg on the way to topping his group with maximum points for today’s finals.

Gigi Galli expected to return to competition on the Bettega Memorial Rallysprint

Gigi Galli is expected to make his competitive return on December’s Bettega Memorial Rallysprint, according to Autosport magazine.
Galli broke his leg on August’s Rally Germany in a violent crash where he slammed into a tree. It was feared he may not drive again but he responded well to treatment and is determined to return to the WRC on a full-time basis in 2009.
