FIA to review new WRC technical regulations following today’s WMSC meeting

The FIA will review the new new WRC technical regulations following today’s WMSC meeting in Paris.
The FIA statement following the meeting said that it wants more information on the potential cost implications of the new regulations in time for the next WMSC meeting in December.

WRC News from the FIA following World Motorsport Council meeting November 5th

At the World Motorsport Council meeting on Wednesday 5th November the following was decided for the WRC.
- From 2009, the number of mandatory events for a Manufacturer Team has been reduced to eight, reflecting the reduction in the number of calendar events.
- The WMSC expressed its concern at the apparent potential increase

WRC figures seek clarification following WMSC meeting regarding the commercial rights of the WRC being offered for tender

In an article on autosport.com there would appear to be confusion from senior figures within the WRC following the FIA’s press statement following the WMSC decisions yesterday offering for tender the commercial rights to the series from 2010.
