World Rally Car S2000+ technical details announced following WMSC meeting

The new WRC technical regulations were rubber stamped today at the World Motor Sport Council meeting today.

As expected the new World Rally Cars will be based on the S2000 formula which will include an added bolt-on kit of performance parts.

The bolt-on kit of performance parts regulations have been altered from what had been originally considered, and there will now be no electronic benefits, or similar upgrades, permitted to keep costs down.

FIA issue press release following WMSC meeting to clarify the Commercial Rights Holder position in the WRC

The FIA have released the following statement to clarify the situation with regards the commercial rights of the WRC.

“Following reports in the motor sport press, the FIA wishes to clarify the situation regarding the Commercial Rights Holder and Promoter of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).”

World Motor Sport Council decisions following WRC Commission meeting

Following the last two days of meetings, at the Place de la Concorde, by the WRC Commission, the FIA issued a press release following the WMSC decisions today.

The decisions are expected to be ratified fully, when the WMSC convenes again at it’s next quaterly meeting, as have been agreed in principle today.

WRCC meeting to decide the future of the WRC, if they get it wrong Citroen and Ford walk
