Five times world rally champion Sebastien Loeb has come out in favour of the FIA’s new Super 2000+ technical regulations which are due to come into force for the 2010 WRC season, according to autosport.com.

Dani Sordo is expected to lead the developement of the Citroen Sport S2000+ project, which will probably be based on the C3 model

Dani Sordo will become the main development driver of Citroen’s S2000+ car, according to autosport.cz.
Citroen Sport had planned to develop the car in early 2009 but due to the uncertainty with the regulations by the FIA this slowed the project. But now with the new technical regulations coming into effect in 2010 the development can begin again.

Citroen want to stay in the WRC until at least the end of the 2010 season with Sebastien Loeb

Olivier Quesnel has stated to wrc.com that rallying remains the priority for Citroen and he would like to see Sebastien Loeb stay with the team through until the end of the 2010 season.
Quesnel want’s to end speculation that Loeb might switch to circuit racing when his current Citroen contract ends at the end of 2009.

Anders Grondal will not have a programme in the Adapta Subaru World Rally Team for the 2009 WRC

Anders Grondal will not be competing in the Adapta World Rally Team on the 2009 WRC as his sponsor Valvoline couldn’t invest the millions required, due to the current economic downturn.
Grondal had hoped to possibly be included in the Adapta World Rally Team next year, to drive a Subaru S14 alongside Mads Ostberg. That will not now happen but he and Valvoline are working together for a WRC programme… Continue reading
