Armin Schwarz withdraws bid from the FIA tender for the role of WRC global promoter

Armin Schwarz and his partner, the Swiss consultancy firm ValueAdd group, have decided to pull out of the FIA tendering process for the WRC global promoter role, a position which is expected to commence in 2011.
Schwarz commented to rallye-magazin.de:
In this version, no one will sign the paper, not even North One.

The FIA have released the details of the tender for the WRC Promoter.
The 16 page document explaining the role and responsibility of the Promoter.
Highlights of the position are organising the Television and media coverage with where possible free to air coverage, ensuring at least three manufactures team take part in the championship and maintaining the traditional values, prestige and perenniality of the Championships.

Carlos Sainz may become a leading figure of VW Motorsport’s WRC programme with Dani Sordo linked to drive the Scirocco WRC

According to Spanish website marca.com states that Carlos Sainz could be the leading figure (team principal) of the VW Motorsport WRC opperation if Volkswagen decide to commit to the 2011 World Rally Championship as is widely believed. Current Citroen factory driver Dani Sordo has been linked to a drive with the team.
